VARSITY BOYS (1A-4A RACE DIVISION) 3RD AS A TEAM OUT OF 21 TEAMS & OVER 140 RUNNERS

*just like the JH boys race, where they were without contributing runners, the HS boys were left with the same situation. As two of the team’s large contributors were not racing the course, but coaching alongside it. However, for many of the young, this was the time to either prove themselves, or accept being just another number. And to no one’s surprise, they raced the course as veterans, able to nearly ALL run away with SUB 20 times, barely falling to district opponent (Kilgore), and leaving the course knowing they WILL return to capture the title! …in multiple divisions!  (fun fact out of the 12 runners who ran, only 3 had ever ran the full course before)
