Last night under the lights at SH Panther stadium the 7th and 8th grade boys Track teams competed against some of the toughest teams in the Area. They were pushed to go faster and compete harder then they ever have before…and just as they have in the past, they rose to the occasion. Not only going against district contenders (Gilmer & Gladewater), they faced many strong programs (Jacksonville, Atlanta, LE, and Brownsborro). Throughout the evening the Panthers cheered on their teammates and never backed down, proving that this group of young men are determined to represent SH  with passion, heart, and sheer love for their town and team. From 3:30pm till the last 4×400, observers witnessed many young panthers set Personal Records and push past contenders racing, throwing, and jumping past all opponents. And their efforts showed as the 7th grade finished 4th place  as a team, and the 8th grade finishing 2nd (only to loose by 9 points to fierce opponent Atlanta). Below are a few of the highlights from the evening and athletes who set personal best based on last weeks meet.
